thereuare
Excalibur for $81.50/nite (same rate for double or triple occupancy)If you're comfortable booking double occupancy for the three of you (something i would probably feel comfortable doing for a midweek stay in Vegas, but something you would need to be comfortable doing in order to purchase the following) you could also get Harrahs for $91.50/niteHarrahs is a bit nicer and has a better center strip location, but your 12 year old son would probaby enjoy Excalibur much more (as it has a Castle theme... also close to NYNY and MGM which have theme/attractions as well)Let us know which you decide to go with or if we can be of further help. thereuare
Our Las Vegas Checker doesn't search the Excalibur, so can you clarify where you are getting the $69 quote from.Your first post asked if you could do better than the Circus Circus or Excalibur for $90, so when i saw the Excalibur for $81.50 i thought that was good... thinking that you had already done your research and $90 was the best you found. So let's back up a little... what exactly is it that you're looking for out of this stay?PS- please don't type in ALL CAPS, it makes your posts harder to read and saves me the step of converting it to proper case Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
PaulS
The Link I found the deal on was - http://www.betterbidding.com/las-vegas-hotel-rates/Excalibur is an option here, and for my dates 12 April to 14 April is $69. I believe this link is through your exclusive free tool the las vegas hotel checker. - special room offers. Goes to hotels own website. My original post said I could easily book circus circus or the excalibur, but what I was looking for was a 4 star option. The excalibur and circus circus being 3 star.I think you have totally mis-read my post. Apologies if I didnt express myself very clearly. That is why I am asking if you have any idea what the 2 hotwire offers are per my last post. What I would like is say the Luxor or Mirage or Treasure Island or New York for up to $90 per night. thereuare
Thanks, looks like the MGM Mirage has added their other properties to their booking page, i'll have to add them to the "search" part of the tool.I'm assuming one of the Hotwire hotels above is in the North strip, as Hotwire will only show you one hotel at each star level per zone. You've listed both in the South zone... which one is in the North? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
PaulS
$78 hotel 4 star is north strip. (instead of $89)$93 hotel is 4 star south strip (instead of $135)Have you any ideas what they might be?Pleased to help re las vegas checker.Your site is a wonderful idea. Link to comment
thereuare
As per the HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST, the North Strip matches the Aladdin while the South Strip matches the MGM Grand. Those would be our best guesses on each.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. PaulS
4 star south strip dissappeared for a couple of days and has now re-appeared as same facilities - Casino, Restaurant, Pool .Fitness Center. Spa Services, Golf Nearby,Tennis Nearby,Business Center. But price has changed to was $124 now $88. Do you still consider this to be MGM Grand? Link to comment
thereuare
Best guess is sitll the MGM, but i'm not sure what you're refering to with the prices. Are those Hotwire's prices changing (ie- the price you pay), or the changing of the crossed out price that they show on the detail screen (ie- "retail price") Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
PaulS
The price that was is the price crossed out on hotwire, presumably the normal retail price. The other price is the current hotwire price. In this case both have decreaed, which made me wonder if this indicated a change of hotel. Link to comment
thereuare
That is possible... but it's also possible that the hotel has more vacancies than anticipated (or a large group could have cancelled) and therefore they lowered their rates... both opaque and non-opaque.
