grego
We are planning on driving down to the port the day before sailing and want to guarantee that we get a room at one of the hotels that is close to the port/convention center on 17th Street. I believe the Extended Stay and Renaissance are listed with different * ratings on Priceline and have stayed at both before. What is the best way to make sure we get either one at the best price. thereuare
You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. However, i will add that this zone is not really that big and it's likely going to be an inexpensive cab ride regardless of where in the zone you end up. Also, there is a pretty big quality gap between the Renaissance and the Extended Stay... what is it exactly that you want from this stay... why only these two specific hotels? If you're looking for a hotel in a specific area i'd suggest our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com which will make it easy to see hotels near your ideal location and how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in star rating OR to stay a little closer/further then your desired location. You can also use our similar site designed for cruisers: Pre Cruise Hotels What are the dates of your stay and your desired budget (before fees/taxes)? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
