Kekepuffs
Hello again,I'm planning on visiting from 2/5 to 2/8. For north strip hotels I'm ok with anything but the trump. For south I'd only really like aria. Are there any strategies to employ to help land on my desired properties for these dates?Thank again Link to comment
thereuare
What is your maximum budget per nite (before fees/taxes)? Kekepuffs
My max nightly base rate is around $150. Obviously I'd like to pay less than that! I see Priceline Express deals has what looks like the Trump for $122. My concern with the bidding approach is I might end up there, which I really don't want to happen! Since I have some time before my trip I figured I'd consult with the experts. Link to comment
AaronJB
There is no way to bid for a particular property or properties. If you bid 5* (for example) you have to be willing to accept any 5* in the zone. Unfortunately, the options I'm seeing on Hot.wire are somewhat above budget, including 5* $179, North Resort, Casino, Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower-- Likely Venetian 5* $171, Center Strip Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower-- Likely Aria or Bellagio (although would lean towards the former.) Kekepuffs
I can be flexible on the price. If it's a couple bucks more to get a nice hotel so be it. I see Priceline has the following: 5* 166/nightParking, Business Center, Restaurant, Indoor/Outdoor Pool, Casino, Fitness Center, Bed Choice Available(Guessing Venetian) I'll keep looking! thereuare
I would agree with your guess of the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer being The Venetian. I'll keep looking! What is it that you are looking for? priceline..htowire Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Kekepuffs
Thanks for the response! I'm ideally looking for an inexpensive 5* north strip booking for ~$150 or less. The caveat being I would greatly prefer not to stay at the Trump, which sadly is lumped into the possible pool of hotels. I'm looking for a PRICELINE EXPRESS bid booking, or a name your price bid window that would increase my odds of not getting the Trump! Link to comment
AaronJB
There is no method of bidding that will allow you to decrease your odds of the Trump. While I understand trying to stay on budget, the issue with waiting when there's a PRICELINE EXPRESS for around $15 more than your max budget is that there is the real possibility that that listing could go away, be replaced by something less appealing or go up in price. Could the rates for your dates come down? Sure, but they can also quickly go the other way. Please keep us updated on what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. thereuare
Congratulations on your success! Looks like a very nice deal for this 5 star hotel and thank you for sharing your results with the board. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post, which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all' link during the check-out process. Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the full list of amenities associated with this property (including any accessible amenities)... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.
