josepheo
I am from CA so not familiar with NYC. Preferrable locations will be Hell's Kitchen, Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square.Acceptable locations will be Central Park South, Madison Square Garden - Convention Area. Only reason I picked these locations is that from my research around NYC trip, Midtown was the best location to stay for all the schedules. That Midtown has the best access to public transportations, and great night view, etc. Link to comment
thereuare
Midtown is typically the most convenient for the average visitor, but some zone comments below: ESB, MTW, TS ==> all generally considered to be well located CPS - well located but contains the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards) so make sure you're comfortable with this outcome before including this zone Chelsea - some hotels can be up to a 10 minute walk to the subway but this is a 'hot' area right now with lots of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, etc. so it is still considered to be a very desirable area HK - goes a bit too far west MSG - well located but the Wyndham New Yorker is frequently won here where reviews are mixed MTE - most hotels well located but a few can be up to a 10-15 minute walk to the subway Based upon the above, please confirm the zone(s) you're willing to accept (or ask any additional questions you have) and we will advise accordingly. If you want to stay in any of the zones that may have one or two hotels that have a 'caveat' associated with them, then you can also consider PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or Hot.wire in order to try to stay in one of these other zones while avoiding the hotel(s) you don't want within the zone. josepheo
Walking 15mins is okay for me.As long as 2 people can fit on the bed, and can lay down 2 luggages, I'm okay with it. Link to comment
thereuare
At current prices i think you will more likely need to be near $225-$250/nite for a 4* hotel but we can start with $200 and take it from there. When bidding 4* in NYC you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.
