Priceline Hotel: 3* Atlanta (Druid Hills - Emory - Decatur) Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory

Got a little burned by this one.  Was spending time in midtown, with two cars, and wanted something reasonably close with free parking.  The Druid Hills zone looked like the best option.  BB showed most of the hotels near I-85, about 6-7 miles from midtown.  Had been eyeing a Priceline Express for $79 that was most likely the Doubletree.  Could have had a 4* downtown for under $70, but parking would have added $100 for my stay.  Figured I would try Druid Hills bidding about 10% less and see what happens, with Atlanta having several zones without 3* for rebidding.  Bid $71, and immediately got this hotel.  It's nowhere near a highway, about 20 minutes from midtown, and they charge for parking.  That's the breaks with Priceline.  First time I got burned with an undesirable choice. 

 

The hotel itself was outstanding, though.  Worthy of 3.5 or even 4 stars.  If visiting Decatur or Emory University, this is an excellent place to stay.
