thereuare
I don't have a guess for the MSG property... my guess for the Financial District property would be the Club Quarters, World Trade Center or the World Center Hotel. I'm familiar with this area and there may be better options... what are your needs for this stay and your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)? thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to each of these listings, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Below is what i'm seeing for each: 5* MTE Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible ... if this is what you're seeing my best guess for this one would be the The New York Palace 4* MTE Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet ... Club Quarters Grand Central would be my best guess here Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. I love to walk and use the subway, so location is less of a concern. But I would prefer: Empire State Building, MTE or MTW, MSG, Times Square, Financial District--e.g. I would love to stay at the World Center if that is one of those FD deals Link to comment

MSG was a little more than that though. All of the club quarters and World Center are smoke-free and pet-free I would consider the 5* in MTE for $175, but I did not like the New York Palace--and that looks like what it is. But thereuare indicated that he or she is familiar with the area and there may be better options... Link to comment

Romelle
Our needs: Must be pet free, smoke free ... If you know from other sources the Club Quarters is both pet free and smoke free, you might be wise to nab it. There actually isn't a "pet free" amenity, so with bidding, PRICELINE EXPRESS and Hot.wire you can't be assured of it. With the "educated guess" indicating Club Quarters, I'd guess that is about as close as you will be able to get to a definite thing. Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
If you need a hotel that is Pet Friendly i would only buy/bid on something that shows the Pet Friendly amenity, as should your/our guess be wrong, you would then be stuck with a hotel that does not meet your needs. I see the following of interested from PRICELINE EXPRESS (confirm your dates on the landing page after clicking the link provided below): 4.5* Midtown East with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Fitness Center ... best guess here would be The Omni Berkshire Your thoughts on this one? Please let me know if you think there may be better options for 2 rooms, 4 adults. Thank you! I am leaning toward Hotwire4* FD $128 (likely Club Quarters on WS or World Center?)FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access OR4* MTE $135 (likely Club Quarters Grand Central?)FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Link to comment
Traveller7
Yes, I actually have to look for the lack of an amenity (pet friendly) and then do the research in possible hotels and then take a chance. I have had pretty good results in the past though. Link to comment

Traveller7
Thanks all for the assist on this. I went with the FD on the slim chance that I might get World Center hotel. But I am happy with the CQ--might even be quieter than MT on the weekend. There are some sights we wanted to see near the FD and it is pretty easy to get everyywhere on the subway. Last time I stayed in MT near ESB, so I am looking forward to exploring a different area. As long as I can find a Blue Bottle or other decent coffee I am happy ;-)Now to plan activities! Romelle
For the record, the lack of "Pet Friendly" does not necessarily mean pet free. I learned that the hard way a while back. I'd booked a Hotwire hotel that didn't say "Pet Friendly", but the one I got announced "Pet Friendly" on its web site. One grandson has serious allergies, and I had to talk my way out of that booking. A challenge, but they eventually gave in to a seriously concerned grandmother. I'm glad this one worked out for you.
