Jenigal
Me and the family are getting ready for a trip to Disney June 29th-July 2nd. I was just getting a feel for what my total cost would be (including fees, taxes, etc.) and noticed a hotel fee. It's been awhile since I have used Priceline...is this something new? Bidding on 4* Downtown Disney area. Any suggestions for starting bid? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
AaronJB
This is the estimated resort fee. Price.line is now offering an estimated total, as noted below the total during the check-out process in the fine print: "No surprises! Total cost includes estimated hotel fees (e.g resort fees). Your total cost will never be higher than displayed above." What would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Jenigal
No more than $100. I won a 4* for $75 in the same area about 4 years ago....so I am figuring inflation and looking at other recent winning bids. Just don't want anything below 3*. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you specifically looking at the 'Disney Downtown - Lake Buena Vista' zone OR are there other zone(s) you're considering? I do think you can be successful for a 4* hotel in this zone for your dates at less than $100/nite, but are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip? Are you ready to bid and commit to this stay at this point in time? Jenigal
I'm ready to bid ;). I just want a zone close to Disney. I liked this zone when we went last time. My goal is the least expensive of 3* or better. Many thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 3* in the Orlando region you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 3* Disney Downtown - Lake Buena Vista... Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $48, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $50 If the above is rejected wait 2 hours (from the last bid) and re-try, once again using this PRICELINE link to begin your bidding: Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $57 Any questions feel free to ask. Jenigal
Wow! I feel like I hit the jackpot. After reviewing the hotel list once more, I felt more comfortable with 3.5*. I bid $61 on my first bid and it was accepted. Won the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. Not only was this a great deal...the free breakfast will save my family of 4 about $20-30 a day!
