AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding and Happy Anniversary! :) The 4.5* Mag Mile-RN is likely the Intercontinental, The amenity set for the 4.5* Mag Mile n-WT has been seen previously with the Omni. The "last person won" is the last hotel a user won at that star rating in that zone, not necessarily the underlying hotel. Toccara1
Thank you so much for the info. I think I want to focus on a boutique hotel. Could you please ID the properties below?Stay June 12-154* Mag Mile RN $249: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower4* Mag Mile N-WT $199: Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Link to comment
yellowdog
4* Mag Mile RN $249Best guess would be Hotel Felix. 4* Mag Mile N-WT $199Best guess would be Warwick Allerton Please also note that there's an additional 4* ($230) boutique property in the MM/RN zone W/Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa, Pet FriendlyBest guess for this would be W Chicago Lakeshore. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. AaronJB
In terms of boutique, if you choose the Allerton with the expectation of a boutique property I think you're going to be disappointed. Beyond that, personally I wouldn't pay $200 for the Allerton. If it's the slow season and it's $65 and a traveler is just looking for a place to sleep, great option. $200? Wouldn't recommend, especially when there's other, nicer options in the same general price range. The W was recently redone and is in a nice location by the water, but there's a 4* in the Loop for $189 (you may see a slightly different price) w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly. This would be a potential match for the Hard Rock, which has been seen previously with this amenity set. If that is the Hard Rock, cheaper boutique option right near the Michigan Ave bridge so centrally located in downtown as a whole - right near Art Institute/Millennium Park, easy walk N to Michigan Ave shopping. Plus, about $40 cheaper than the potential W and $60 cheaper than the potential Felix, which doesn't get great reviews. There's also a 4.5* in the Mag Mile N-Water Tower area for $225 w/Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly. This would be a potential match for the Omni. While not exactly a boutique, if this is the Omni, it's a nicer hotel and would be a great anniversary option (plus larger rooms and unbeatable location right on Michigan Ave.) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Toccara1
Thank you all so much for you assistance! I'm still searching daily. I absolutely love the W Lakeshore, and I'm also open to other boutique hotels in the RN or WT area. Could you please ID the properties below? Thanks!Stay June 12-154* MM-RN $231: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa services4* MM-RN $249: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Link to comment
thereuare
4* MM-RN $231: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Spa servicesThis amenity set is the same as 3 posts above that was guessed to be the W Lakeshore. 4* MM-RN $249: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerMy guess here would be the Hotel Felix. I'm still searching daily. I absolutely love the W Lakeshore...If you love the W Lakeshore why not take it while it is available? What more is it that you're looking/hoping for? While you continue to wait for something else (is there another property that you would want more??) the current offer could disappear entirely or go up in price no longer making it a viable option. Toccara1
Just wanted to update my thread. I decided to try Priceline to see if I could get a better deal on a 4* property. I found a deal on PRICELINE EXPRESS for 4* Mag Mile RN $170: pets allowed, restaurant, fitness center, free internet. Thanks to your forum, I suspected that it was Milenorth because there was a resort fee. Thank you all for your time and input! Link to comment
