Priceline Hotel: 4.5* Bidding Strategy Help

Trying to find a strategy for NYC hotel 4.5* for Apr 16-18 in Midtown/Central Park area around $150. Wanting to know if its too early to bid or I can manage a good deal bidding early. Any advice would be much appreciated.

 

For safety, I am already booked into Row NYC for those dates at $120/night. So if I don't win anything better.. I am sure I will be comfortable with Row.

This is peak season for NYC and $150 will not likely be enough for a 4.5* property. However, if you'd like to give a try anyway let us know which zones are acceptable and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.

An alternative to The Row i am seeing on HOTWIRE what appears to be the Room-Mate Grace for just about the same price.

Been looking for a a while on PRICELINE EXPRESS for prices in Times Square and decided to keep Row NYC that I picked up for $120 + taxes. I did see a 4* in MTW for $102 (could be Sheraton Time Square based on some recent postings), but feel Row is better in terms of location/price paid especially from Port Authority Bus Station. So keeping that reservation.

 

Again always thanks to the team here, if nothing else, reading through the postings imparts a huge knowledge base to secure the "right" hotel for my needs :)

If you see a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for around $100, potentially you could get that or something comparable in the same zone for less via bidding. NYC is reasonably easy to get around quickly, as well.
