RobinW.
HOTWIRE is having a Thanksgiving sale, and there's 3.5* in Times Square for $149 from March 28-April 1 with an approval rating of 85% and a 4/5 at Tripadvisor. I'd jump on it if I can figure out if it's the Belvedere. (I've stayed there and liked it.) There will be four of us, one adult and three teens, so I don't want a cramped room. I think it's either the Belvedere or the Manhattan at Times Square. (I don't want the Manhattan since reviews are spotty on its cleanliness.) When I've done some dummy searches, I get the message that "People who've booked this ended up getting the Belvedere...or the Paramount...or Roommate Grace." The Paramount rooms are tiny, and Roommate Grace's reviews have many complaints about noise on the weekends from the bar/party scene below. (We'll be there on a weekend.) This location would be ideal for us.Here are the amenities:Smoke-free roomsFitness centerRestaurant(s)Business centerSelf-service laundryInternet AccessAccessible to the visually impairedAccessible to the hearing impairedAccessible path of travelAccessible bathroomRoll-in showerI have the Salisbury booked at $179 a night, and it can be cancelled without penalty. Thanks for any help. thereuare
The "Last person got ___" info is relative to the last purchase in the zone at that star rating, not necessarily the specific hotel offered. Are you including 1adult/3children in your search? If so, i think you may have missed a few amenities above. I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, my best guess for this one would be the Belvedere. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. RobinW.
It was the Belvedere!! In answer to your previous question, yes, I'd put in one adult and three children (with their ages) to make sure that we'd get two beds. I got it for $148 along with taxes and fees and used the THANKS10 coupon for $10 off; plus, I got the $20 Hotel Cancellation insurance offered through Hot.wire. The total for four nights is $758.98. What a bargain! Thanks so much for you help, and I did use the HOTWIRE link to make the purchase. :-) Link to comment
