bbbb
How far from downtown would your boss be willing to stay? The Sheraton San Diego Hotel And Marina has been coming up a lot lately and has a very cheap rate for his dates. If he wants to be in the Gaslamp area you could be looking for a new job after this bid. The Sheraton is about a $10-$15 cab ride to the DT area. Its over by the airport. Link to comment
lileor
Thanks, I've noticed the Sheraton coming up alot too. My boss will have a car, so it probably won't be a problem. Read mixed reviews about the hotel, so I'll check w/him before I bid. Link to comment
lileor
Yup, ended up getting the Sheraton @ $90. Thought this would go less since I saw an $80 successful bid for these exact dates.Saved $53 total vs. booking with the hotel directly @ their $119 internet rate. Not that much, but it'll help with the crazy parking costs :)Sheraton San Diego Hotel And MarinaCheck-In Date: Sat, Dec 24, 2005 Check-Out Date: Mon, Dec 26, 2005 Your Offer Price: $90.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $180.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $29.46 Total Charges: $209.46 Downtown bid $65Add Mission Valley bid $70Add Point Loma bid $73Add Carlsbad bid $75Add Del Mar bid $80Add Escondido bid $85Add Sorrento Mesa bid $90 - Accepted. Is there another rebidding zone that I am missing? thereuare
Congratulations on your (boss') win.... hopefully he is happy with the results and grateful for the extra $50 in his pocket.Regarding the 'extra' re-bid zone, what is the highest rating in the Rancho Bernardo zone? :) Thank you for sharing your win and for using the SavingsBarn.com links for your bidding. lileor
The Ranch Bernardo zone has one 4* -- the Ranch Bernardo Inn. Link to comment
thereuare
DO NOT use the hotel lists to determine what areas to add when attempting to bid again within the 24 hour window. From Priceline Re-Bidding Explained:The way to check what star levels are available in each zone is to open a Priceline page, check ONLY the zone you are inquiring about, and then proceed to the next page (as if you were going to select a zone)... this will give you the available star ratings in that area. You can then hit BACK on your browser, uncheck the current box, check the next box, and repeat the process. It is important to do this before EACH attempt at adding a zone that you really don't want, as new hotels can be added and the star ratings can change at any time.
