97egarza
Regular Price $599 (Cut to $420 via Hotwire)90% Reccomended, Tripadvisor Rating 4.5 Ammenities Include:Free InternetPet FriendlyBoutique HotelSmoke FreeFitness CenterRestaurantsSelf Service Laundry Its says also "Book Soon : The last person got the Copley Square Hotel" I am actually thinking its the Lenox (given identical ammenities from an earlier post here), and would actually prefer it to be the Lenox, but Im concerned with the Copley Square hotel reference. Any clues? Thx. Link to comment
thereuare
The "Last person got ___" information is relative the the last purchase of a hotel in this zone and star rating, NOT necessarily the specific hotel currently being offered. With the above noted, my best guess for this one would be the Copley Square Hotel (i wouldn't exclude the Lenox from the possibilities, but i think the Copley Square Hotel is a better guess for this one) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. 97egarza
thanks for your prompt reply. I was afraid about that given that the Copley Sq does not have the same quality of reviews, so I think Ill pass on this one for now and keep looking for other options. Will let you know if I decide to come back via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE. Many thx. Link to comment

thereuare
In addition to using RateDrop, given the likely high demand of the Marathon, i'd suggest booking a fully refundable back-up in the meantime... it can't hurt, but it could ultimately help. You can use BackUpBooking.com to easily see/compare refundable rates for these dates. Good luck and let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, book direct, cancel the trip, etc) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

97egarza
An update....ran the search again today and the original property at $420/night is still there, but another 4 star property appears at $531 with the following ammenities: 95% reccomendedFree InternetPet FriendlyBoutique HotelSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterRestaurantsBusiness Center Accesible to the visually impaired Do you think this could be the Lenox? It is listed at $595 in the website for a refundable rate, so not much of a break, but just curious. I have a backup refundable reservation at the Boston Common Hotel & Conference Center at a much lower rate ($250), but its a 3 star and the reviews are horrible so I'm still on the hunt. Just dont know if its worth it to trade up to $420 (or $531 for that matter) or continue to monitor between now and then. Any thoughts? Link to comment
thereuare
I believe there were likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. To ensure you're seeing the complete list you can do either of the following: 1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' button OR 2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesUsing the method(s) above this is the amenity set i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel when searching for your dates: Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing my best guess for this one would be the Loews Boston Back Bay Hotel (with a less chance of the Colonnade as a possibility) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. 97egarza
Im at it once again! I am now looking at a 4.5* property in the Boston Common - Theater District area at $391 per night, 90% recommended. Last bidder got the Taj Boston. FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. From the list its looking a lot like the Taj so Im inclined to take it. I will book it in a few and let you know. cheers,eg Link to comment
97egarza
Indeed it was the Taj. Ended up using your HOTWIRE link at got $389 as a final price.. Very happy with the result as the hotel is right next to the Commons from where the buses depart towards the marathon start at Hopkinton and a short walk from the finish at Copley square, so perfecto location and what looks to be a very good property. Thanks again for your help. Link to comment
