I took advantage of a Hotwire 24-hour $20 discount, so my total with taxes and fees was just $89.93. The hotel has a nonrefundable, prepayment rate for this night of $89.25, so Hotwire's regular rate doesn't provide any savings. However, the total with tax at that rate would be $100.41, so the temporary Hotwire discount gave me a little bit of a break. Using PRICELINE, I had unsuccessfully bid up to $70 for a 2.5-star hotel in this zone, so I think I did better with HOTWIRE. I accessed HOTWIRE using the link on this site. Link to comment
