gshepherd
I'm looking for a 4* hotel in the Michigan Avenue area from September 13 thru 16. It would be great if you could help me identify two potential options. The first is a 4* in the Loop/Theater District area. It has a 95% approval rating. The amenities are:Pet FriendlyFitness CenterBusiness CenterSpa ServiceBoutiqueRestaurantInternetRoll-in ShowerAccessible Bath The second is a 4* in the Mag. Mile North/Water Tower area. It has a 90% approval rating. yellowdog
For both hotels. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. This is what I see when replicating your search. 4* in the Loop/Theater District Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If this is what you see would my best guess be Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. 4* in the Mag. Mile North/Water Tower Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If this is what you see would my best guess be MileNorth Hotel. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and hot.wire links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog. Link to comment
AaronJB
With the MileNorth and Wyndham Grand, I don't think you can go wrong either way. The former is superbly located right off Michigan Ave, the other centrally located right at the Michigan Ave bridge. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
gshepherd
Thanks for the quick reply. The probable MileNorth is no longer listed, but I do see the amenities listed as you described for the Wyndham Grand. Do you suggest that I go ahead and book now or is it likely that rates will come down more in the near future? I do have a backup reservation made that I can cancel. Thanks again. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm seeing a 4* the in the Loop area w/:Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly. This would likely be the Wyndham Grand. I'm also seeing a 4.5* int he Mag Mile N-WT area w/Boutique, Restaurant, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet. This would be a likely match for the Ivy. Both are essentially the same price (you may see a different price, but I'm seeing a difference of a couple of bucks) and I would go with either of those. The Ivy is a newer property that is in a smaller building - with only a few rooms on each floor, service can be more personalized. Not a ton of difference in location. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Let us know which you decide upon and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Link to comment
gshepherd
Thanks for all of the help. It was the Wyndham Grand as you thought. Got it for $144 per night. Seems like a good deal and a decent hotel. Thanks again. Link to comment
