thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. Do you mean July 2015... or some other month later this year? Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know the above and we will take it from there. nikosh
Hi, I meant to: 7-12 October :) . My goal is the least expensive 3/4 stars hotel. if there is a bargain for a higher price and excellent hotel, I will take this myabe. Link to comment
thereuare
Unfortunately rates are high for these dates and at the moment i don't think you'll be successful for a 3* or better at $170 or less. You can certainly try, but currently i think you're likely looking at $200+ for a 3* or better hotel in Manhattan. If you'd like to give it a try anyway, let us know which zone(s) you're willing to accept (or if you need help with this as well let us know) and if you're able to increase your budget at all, we'll then advise accordingly. nikosh
Hi, Around 200$ it is fine.I am looking the following areas : TS, ME, MW, CPS, ESB, UES, UWS. looking for your help. Thanks, Link to comment
thereuare
I am looking the following areas : TS, ME, MW, CPS, ESB, UES, UWS.Note that UES and UWS can go pretty far north, expecially at the lower star levels, which is not the most convenient location for the average tourist... are you sure these are acceptable for your needs this trip. CPS, while well located, has the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms... would this be acceptable for your needs? With the above caveats noted, due to high rates, and $200 on the low end of what might be accepted, you may need to include some of these areas in order to stay in/close to budget. Also, is there a reason you're avoiding the MSG and/or ESB zones, as these typically are convenient and work well for most users. Please confirm your desired zones and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. nikosh
Hi,Used this strategy without success. What should Ido next? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Your choices include: -lower your star rating -incrase your budget -add other zones I'll also point out that HOTWIRE has a 3.5* hotel in the East Village zone for $236/nite, and while over your $200 budget/bidding above, this property is a half star higher than your rejected bids, has a good 95% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests, and an excellent 4.5/5.0 TA rating: Pet Friendly Fitness Restaurant Business ... my best guess for this one would be the Wyndham Garden Chinatown if this offer is of any interest.
