AaronJB
Welcome back! :)The 4.5* boutique would likely be the Epic. The first 4.5* has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess is that the Intercontinental may have been upgraded to 4.5*. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
johnboy3258
Thank you. Both are great options but as of now only our cruised is booked & we just need a 1 night stay prior. We are starting to lean toward staying in Ft. Lauderdale beach area so I may inquiring again soon. Would I start a new thread for that? Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
You can keep all posts for this stay in this thread. If your cruise leaves from Miami my suggestion would be to stay in Miami... if your cruise leaves from Fort Lauderdale i would stay in Fort Lauderdale. Please ask for hotel IDs once your plans are firm and you're ready to move forward with a purchase as the hotels currently offered may not be the ones that are offered once you're ready to commit (or the prices may change significantly making the current hotel no longer a viable option) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. johnboy3258
Thanks, that's a good point. It's just so much cheaper to fly into FLL than MIA, and stay in Ft. Lauderdale vs. Miami, and they're a short ride apart making hotels at either beach/airport an option. It's all part of the budget/planning process to get the best value. I will return when I'm ready to commit to a purchase. Link to comment
thereuare
When flying in i would take the less expensive flight if cost to getting to the 'other' location (taxi, rental car, etc) was worth the savings (and time/inconvenience to get there). As far as which location to stay, i prefer to stay closer to the port as there is less potential issues of something going wrong in getting to the port the next day (traffic, car trouble, forgetting something back at the hotel (difficult if you're an hour away... easy if you're 15 minutes away)) Let us know once you've made a decision and ready to move forward and we''ll try to be of further help.
