daisydaisy27
Hi, I must stay in Tribeca-Soho. What do you think my starting bid should be? 4* or 4.5*s. There's a priceline express deal for 251 per night, 603 after taxes. Is there any way to rebid if i'm not willing to change zones? Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are fairly high for these dates and that 4.5* Soho property is actually the least expensive 4* or higher offered for these dates (other than one Downtown hotel at $237/nite). Using the code metro6 will give you another 5% OFF a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal in NYC bringing this down to $238/nite, and you may just want to take this offer. If you did want to try bidding, did you want to try for a 4.5* first up to your limit, and if that is rejected try for a 4* up to your limit... or is the goal the least expensive 4* or better in the Soho zone? What would be your maximum bid at each star level? When bidding 4.5* in NYC you have EIGHT re-bid zones.... ONE re-bid zones at the 4* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. daisydaisy27
For bidding, the goal is to get as low as possible for a min 4* property. I'd assume my max price if I started to bid would be at the 250 night/rate that the express deals was giving me (or 237 w/ 5% off). Going for work, so don't really care about the property, as long as it's walking distance to the office. Link to comment
daisydaisy27
the metro6 discount code isn't working for me, but thanks for sharing. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you able to get the METRO6 code to work (keep in mind it's for PL EXPRESS only... not bidding) as this would enable to lower your maximum bid from $250 to $235-ish. (i just tried it and working fine for me... it shows up above the total as 'Priceline Hotel Coupon' OR do you get a message that the coupon isn't valid? daisydaisy27
Hotel was rated 4.5*, but it's definitely a 4* hotel. Link to comment
thereuare
To confirm... you ended up bidding for this stay? While it didn't live up to your 4.5* expectations, hopefully you found it to be a good value (relative to other options available for your dates) for the price paid.
