jbush
Looking to book a 4* or higher hotel on Vegas strip such as Mandalay Bay, Venetian, or Caesars Palace for dates 8/22 - 8/25/2014 (3 rooms). Budget is $75-100 per night. What is the recommend search method to get the best hotel for that price range? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The hotels above range in star rating from 4*-5*, which in Vegas, can be a wide disparity in Vegas. I didn't think a 5* would be within your budget for weekend dates but i did find something very close... PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone (Condo, Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center) for $113/nite... but using the discount link and code in my signature (expires tonite) gives an extra 10% OFF which brings this down to $102/nite which would be a very good deal, imo, for a 5* hotel (my guess for this one would be the Palazzo) Make sure you choose the one with a casino since if a casino is not shown it could likely be the Trump. If you prefer to stay on the lower end of your budget you can use THIS LINK to book Treasure Island for $84/nite, assuming this is an acceptable property. (double check your dates on the landing page) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jbush
Is it to early to try a name your price bid or should I wait closer to the trip date for last minute deals? Link to comment
AaronJB
Purchase timing is discussed in detail in the FAQ. (Under "When should I book? Will prices go down, etc.") Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

thereuare
Using the discount code and link in my signature the $113 rate will come down to $108/nite, so if you want to try to beat this rate by bidding you can try: When bidding 5* in Las Veags you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 5* Strip North... Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $103, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $108 If the above is rejected you can take the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer for $108 (after discount) Any questions feel free to ask. Still got a great deal taking the pricelince.express deal at $113 a night. Got 3 rooms at the Palazzo. Thanks for all your help!
