thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Is this 3* rated? If so, this is a match for the Holiday Inn Santa Monica Beach at the Pier so that would be our best guess. If not, let us know the star rating and we'll look further.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of more assistance. skycruiser747
i went to book this hotel and hotwire came back with the response that i can't use my credit card and to ring my bank...i did and they said they had NO sign of any decline and that my card is fine...i email hotwire and they say it's a bank issue and that the amount is declining...ring the bank again and they tell me Hotwire is talking crap.i've used this card on many occasions to make hotwire transactions and all of a sudden it's no good...ended up booking with priceline, hotwire response to this nonsense has been poor to say the least! i've got $5000 credit available and they are telling me that it's insufficient! :) Link to comment
thereuare
Well you really don't know if Hotwire is at fault or your bank... i do know that Hotwire would like the business and has no desire to decline your credit card unless that is the information they are getting back when trying to get an approval. So what did you get on Priceline? Please post the details in this thread and then we'll move it to the Priceline section of the board. skycruiser747
got the Raddisson at LAXCheck-In Date: Wed, Jan 18, 2006Check-In Time: After 03:00 PMCheck-Out Date: Fri, Jan 20, 2006Check-Out Time: 12:00 PMYour Offer Price: $60.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 2Subtotal: $120.00Taxes & Service Fees: $25.42Total Charges: $145.42i tried for the beach locations via priceline and all came back as rejected...hotwire was the only one i had a shot with.i have spoken to my bank 5 times in the last 12hrs and they ASSURE ME that there is NOTHING wrong with my card. all details on my hotwire account have been there for some time and have not changed, the expiry date is fine, the amount of credit on it is fine, name and address are all fine. what the funny thing is, Hotwire are declining the transaction but the bank is not showing any decline at all! If it was declined due to my bank then my bank would have a record of that...they also told me this 3 times, if it's declined they'd know about it!when i booked a JFK hotel a few months back i had trouble on checkin...they tried to charge me again for the hotel room, they had to contact hotwire to sort the nonsense out, i'm wondering if this has caused Hotwire to needlessly put an alert on my CC...the hotel at JFK ended up being in the wrong and nothing was wrong with my CC on that occasion either. strange that Hotwire says it's my bank yet i had instant success with priceline, if it was my bank or credit i'd not be able to make the priceline transaction.still waiting to hear back from Hotwire.
