photomikey
This one isn't on the list. Speculation as to what it could be, and what sort of price it might take to get there? It might be Four Seasons, but Four Seasons shows booked solid on 5/16, and Price.line NYOP is offering me a 5* in that zone on 5/16. Link to comment
thereuare
The Four Seasons, as well as the Ritz Carlton, would each be possibilities. I'd speculate that it would take $300+ to win for these dates, if there is opaque availability at all (since if it is the Four Seasons they may not offer inventory if they are sold-out or have high occupancy for one or more nite(s) of your date range). Note that on the NYOP side of PRICELINE they don't check inventory before you place your bid, so if selecting the Rittenhouse Square zone you're then able to select the 5 star rating, this only indicates that PRICELINE deals with 5* hotels in this zone, it doesn't say anything about available inventory for your specific dates. How high would you be willing to bid to stay at a 5* property? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. photomikey
Bid it to $300. No luck. Will book alternate arrangements. City is really slammed this weekend. Color me disappointed. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to see rates are so high for these dates... what is your back-up plan for this stay? Although not much time between now and you're arrival, you could sign-up for alerts at RateDrop so that if there is a last minute price drop you'll be made aware of it and can take advantage (you could do this for HOTWIRE, pl.express, as well as 'named' 5* hotels in the area) Let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Good luck! photomikey
Bid In $10 increments from $80 up to $190... finally accepted. Philly is really expensive this week. Not sure why. Direct book rate $249, a savings of 22%. As always, thanks for the support. The new customizations to IP Board are really cool. Link to comment
