thereuare
What is the star rating, zone, and room rate of the PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE hotels? Assuming each is over the prices you have already bid, are you willing to pay the HOTWIRE rate at this point in time? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Canada2012
I will keep taking a chance with Price.line Name Your Own Price. Niagara Falls doesn't have a ton of hotels so it is a bit easier to know what you may end up with. Link to comment

thereuare
We'll have a look at the PRICELINE EXPRESS and/or HOTWIRE hotels once they are serious considerations... these may not be the hotels offered once you're ready to commit to either of these services. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Keep us updated on your PRICELINE bidding. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

Canada2012
Update on bidding with Priceline 4* Niagara Falls-Clifton Hill-----$100----declinedadded North Niagara Falls------$110----declinedadd St Catherines-----------------$115----declinedadded Welland---------------------$120----declinedadded West Niagara Falls------$125----declined 4* Niagara Falls- Fallsview Blvd---$100---declinedadded North Niagara Falls----------$110---declinedadded St Catherines------------------$115---declinedadded Welland-------------------------$120---declinedadded West Niagara Falls-----------$125---declined 4* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill & Fallsview---$105---declinedadded North Niagara Falls---------------------$110---declinedadded St Catherines-----------------------------$120--declinedadded Welland-------------------------------------$125--declinedadded West Niagara Falls----------------------$130---declined 3.5* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill----$100---declinedadded St Catherines----------------$110---declinedadded Welland-----------------------$115---declinedadded West Niagara Falls--------$125---declined 3.5* Niagara Falls- Fallsview Blvd--$100---declinedadded St Catherines-------------------$110---declinedadded Welland---------------------------$115---declinedadded West Niagara Falls------------$125---declined 3.5* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill & Fallsview---$110---declinedadded St Catherines-------------------------------$115---declinedadded Welland--------------------------------------$120---declinedadded West Niagara Falls------------------------$130---declined 3* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill---$100---declinedadded Welland--------------------$105---declined 3* Niagara Falls- Fallsview---$100---declinedadded Welland-------------------$110---declined 3* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill & Fallsview---$112---declinedadded Welland------------------------------------$118---declined So what do you think the minimum bid for 4*, 3.5* and 3* in the Clifton Hill and Fallsview areas might be? My thinking is that the Ramada is listed at $154 Canadian dollars so maybe $130-$140 might get that seen as I got it for $80 on the Sun night for our May long weekend and it was listed at $93 a night. From what I am gathering there is not much of a big savings possibly with Priceline and Hotwire in Niagara Falls. Link to comment
thereuare
Note that the Saturday check-in may be hurting you for this stay as summer is peak season for this area. At current rates for the Fallsview Blvd or Clifton Hills zones i think you're likely looking at (i would of course start lower and use a re-bid strategy to work up to these rates: 4* - $150-$170 3.5* - HOTWIRE has what looks like the Radisson for $133/nite just a few dollars more than you have already bid 3* - PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 3* hotel for $119/nite, just $1 more than you have already bid Also, you can bid better than you have been. Assuming all of these bids were placed in the same bidding session: 3.5* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill----$100---declined added St Catherines----------------$110---declined added Welland-----------------------$115---declined added West Niagara Falls--------$125---declined 3.5* Niagara Falls- Fallsview Blvd--$100---declined added St Catherines-------------------$110---declined added Welland---------------------------$115---declined added West Niagara Falls------------$125---declined 3.5* Niagara Falls- Clifton Hill & Fallsview---$110---declined **(this bid was rejected minutes earlier) added St Catherines-------------------------------$115---declined **(this bid was rejected minutes earlier) added Welland--------------------------------------$120---declined **(this bid was rejected minutes earlier) added West Niagara Falls------------------------$130---declined Do you expect the bids with ** to have a chance given they were rejected just minutes earlier? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know how we can be of further help. Canada2012
The Saturday check in might be the issue, I never thought of this. Fridays do seem to always be slightly cheaper than Saturdays and Saturdays are usually a higher occupancy rate for Niagara Falls with many one night stays. I will have to see if my friend wants to do Fri-Sun instead. The bids with ** I figured maybe the $130 would have went through at most. I will try again. The Radisson does sound good, great location and I have never stayed there yet.Does Hotwire allow you to choose 1 King, 2 Queen etc? or do they give you 1 King as default like Priceline? Thanks again for the info and help here. I click the links all the time just so you know. Link to comment
Canada2012
With all the bidding I did on Price.line and the help from the board I went with the Hot.wire offer instead of chancing it with the Priceline.Express 3* Total is $370.65 for the Sat and Sun nights. Thanks guys Link to comment
