tigersbh Posted April 18, 2014 Report Share Posted April 18, 2014 We really wanted to go to New Orleans on this date. Hotel prices are very high. Finally decided to get a cheap room in Metairie. We can take a cab to the French Quarter for $25 each way and come out much better, especially since parking is free too. However, we should be able to save $10-20 by taking a city bus to the end of the Canal Street streetcar line and catching the streetcar from there. So we are thinking outside the box here - we'll see how that works out! It should be fun, anyway. Got this deal on the first NYOP bid, and of course used the Priceline link on this site.
