asnigro Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 First time this situation has happened to me: Started bidding last week for the lone 4* hotel in the McCormick Place-Medical District at $45, $50, $55, $60, $65, $67, $69 (hehe), $71, $73, $75, $77 with no luck. Switched gears to target either of the two 3.5* hotels in McCormick Place-Medical District at $45, $50, $55, $60. On 2nd round of bidding the next day of $63, $65, $67, bid was accepted at $67 but for the 4 star Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Apparently new availability? This might be commonplace, just first time happened to me. First time staying at this site, have historically bid on more downtown locations. Trying to save on parking and our event is at UIC. Will hopefully land a lakeview room to look at while changing diapers! I used the PRICELINE links from the better bidding website, as per usual.
