Took a bit of a leap of faith on this one and worked bidding up for the past week among Regent's Park, City, Mayfair, Notting Hill, Bloomsbury and Westminster. Normally I'm shy of this zone because of the Tara and the Olympia, but it seems to be an expensive weekend. Retail site showed the cheapest hotel for this zone was this Holiday Inn at $124, normally it's the Tara or the Olympia. Was counteroffered (when I hit $96) at $122 for this zone, $124 for RP and $137 for City. Chose to work this zone rather than RP guessing it would be this HI. and RP has me nervous now because they are using a Quality Inn where people are being given basement bedrooms with no windows as a 4*, that one was in retail but no sign of either Marriott. (I've had great success with 2 different Marriotts in RP before). City was tempting after the win for similar dates at the Crowne Plaza, and would have gone to that zone if my bidding got much higher without a win.

Anyhow, I'm quite happy with this one, though sad that the wins in the $55-$80 range just weren't there!
