Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Reno - Tahoe (South Reno) Peppermill

$35 per night, 4 nights, $23.28 taxes+fees, $163.28 total.

I will post more information about the kind of room I got when I return. At the moment the Expedia prices for the Peppermill at the same dates are $53 (annex), $71 (tower), $111 (suite), $161 (imperial suite) (all per night). Same prices directly on the peppermill site.

I'm going to extrapolate here, but the information might be of some value anyway. It's an extraplation, not a hard fact, you've been warned, take it with a grain of salt:

-I also had an option for 2.5*, $22 a night, in Reno South, with the exact same amenities, which might be the Peppermill annex (i.e. the motel rooms at the back of the parking lot).

-There was also a choice for 3*, $37 a night, also in Reno South, with the same amenities plus "Resort", which might be the Atlantis (I'm only aware of 2 major casinos in Reno South) - that would match the Oct 1 post by ladyz.

The room was a tower room, clean and spacious.

It's worth mentioning that the window could be opened, which is unusual in casino hotels and was well appreciated by my wife who has a sensitive nose.

Internet access was wired and reliable but not speedy. $11 a night.

My request for a non-smoking king room was taken care of. The entire floor was non-smoking.

I asked about a suite upgrade but at $100 a night decided to not take it.

There was an extra "energy fee" of $3.36 per night.
