cabeach
I've been bidding on a 5 star in Vegas for three days and was comparing HOTWIRE and also the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. I knew this hotel was Cosmo because the HOTWIRE room description and amenities gave it away. We are so excited! This is our first time staying at this hotel and the wicked spoon buffet is amazing! Thanks better bidding! You've given me a lot of great tools and I book everything on PRICELINE (using the price line link of course). Happy Holidays! Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the outcome. Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the amenities that PRICELINE EXPRESS showed before your purchase and associated with this property.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay... and good luck in Vegas! cabeach
Thanks for the well wishes, we need all the luck we can get!I ended up getting a better deal on the Name Your Own Price bid but here is a list of the amenities for the Express Deal when I was comparing the pricing for Cosmo:Free Internet, Pool, Free Parking, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center, Bed Choice AvailableThe bed choice was a dead giveaway because it listed: City Room, Terrace Room, City View, Fountain View (which is facing Bellagio's fountains).TIP: when booking Express Deals that have a bed choice, the bed options sometimes will reveal the hotel! i.e. Encore rooms will be called Encore Resort King or Queen Suite, Aria rooms will be called Deluxe, Deluxe Queen, Corner Suite, Aria Suite, etc. This is AWESOME because you KNOW which hotel you're booking, there's no question about it! Enjoy everyone! Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the clarification that you bid on PRICELINE... from your previous post it sounded as if you used PRICELINE EXPRESS.Enjoy your stay. mrsktw
Thanks for the advise on bed choices. Do you know what the Priceline Express bed choices are for the Vdara? The one Im looking at has Deluxe Suite and Premium View Deluxe Suite. It does not have Casino listed as an amenity so I am thinking it is Vdara. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
mrsktw,Please start by following-up your previous Hotwire Austin hotel with whatever you ended up doing for that trip, then for help with your upcoming Las Vegas trip start a NEW TOPIC, including the dates of your stay, room rate per nite, and the amenities that PRICELINE EXPRESS associates with the offer. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. julieg77
I'm sorry, I'm confused. OP stated that he knew from the HOTWIRE description but purchased on PRICELINE, can someone explain to me how these are linked? Are they always the same offers? I too and trying for Cosmopolitan (or Aria will do) February 5-7 and would love to use this strategy of room description although right now there isn't a five star with a casino showing on either site so it may be a mood point. Thanks in advance! Link to comment

OP stated that he knew from the HOTWIRE description but purchased on PRICELINE, can someone explain to me how these are linked? Are they always the same offers? No, the are NOT linked... the OP got a bit lucky that it worked out in their favor. It's a misperception to assume that the hotel that is offered on HOTWIRE is necessarily the one you will receive when bidding on PRICELINE. Sometimes they are... often they are not.I too and trying for Cosmopolitan (or Aria will do) February 5-7...For help with your own stay please start a NEW TOPIC.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click each of these previous links before posting.Thanks. cabeach
Hi, sorry for all the confusion! I always compare all three sites: Priceline, Priceline Express, and Hotwire and (yes) I just got lucky with the hotel I wanted. However, I do find that comparing the amenities sometimes gives you a better chance of making an educated guess of which hotel it is. That's what the betterbidding site is all about and I'm so grateful that it's such a great resource! I had a great time at the Cosmo and their Wicked Spoon buffet was delish. Good luck & have fun! Win some money! Link to comment
