lmc77
Hi there, me and my best friend are doing route 66 next year and looking to stay in Chicago for three nights from the 25th Aug. I have had some great help before from better bidding but just wondering if there is any way of ensuring you do not get a King size bed as we would need to beds?I have emailed the hotels previously when i have had the email from hotwire but this has not always been successful. Thanks in advance Link to comment
thereuare
You can search HOTWIRE for 2adults/2children which will ensure quad occupancy which inturn should also ensure separate sleeping accommodations. While this usually means two beds in the room, the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc.Would this suffice for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. lmc77
Hi Yeah that would be fine thanks very much for your help. When we manage to get our flights confirmed (they are crazy high prices at the moment) we will of course use the HOTWIRE link through this site agin!!Thanks againhave a good one! Link to comment
AaronJB
Unless there's something going on during these date/s (convention/event), this period is usually not a particularly busy one. You could stay SW of the city in Oakbrook or nearby and that would put you near Route 66 and offer cheaper hotels, but would require driving to a nearby Metra station and taking the train in. It's best to stay downtown (and again, usually this isn't a bad period price-wise), but Oakbrook is a nice SW of the city option if rates stay high. You definitely have time though.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

thereuare
Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase. For HOTWIRE on the top right of their page please change country destination and the currency drop down menu to United States and US Dollars. thereuare
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool, and then click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? AaronJB
The Sax is in a terrific, central location at the bottom end of the River North area. The RN area has a ton of restaurants and nightlife.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
