Hearmetoo
Trying to ID a PRICELINE EXPRESS 5* north strip which has a mandatory $50/ day fee. Does Trump really have that high of an added resort fee? Where else might this be other than Trump. 8.0out of 10Outdoor Swimming PoolPets AllowedRestaurantBusiness CenterFitness CenterPrice per night: $119Rooms: 1Nights: 2Room Subtotal: $238.00Travel Insurance $0.00 ( DECLINED ) + Add now Recommended! That is my preference. Then this morning tried 4* north only up to $90 hoping for TI or Mirage no luck... So I decided to see the best deal on Express with the 10% discount..Any ideas??Thanks Link to comment
MurtleCake
What? It's $28 a night... I just stayed there last week. And I booked through PRICELINE. It's a great hotel! Link to comment
Hearmetoo
Yes, I thought it was less. But I copied and pasted this offer and am wondering if it is the Trump or not and why they would offer a lower price with a 10% discount and then almost double the 'mandatory fees'? Also wondering if it's hard to navigate getting to and from the strip from Trump, is it far? It seems complicated...Hope someone from the board can help... thanks Link to comment
yellowdog
HearmetooYes, I agree with you. Best guess would be Trump for this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal. The 10% discount and the mandatory fees isn't releated. It's PRICELINE that offers 10% in discount to promote the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. And the resort fee is charged by the hotel.Trying to ID a PRICELINE EXPRESS 5* north strip which has a mandatory $50/ day fee.I have seen this before but in a diffrent city. The thing is that PRICELINE has started to show the resort fee for the complete stay for some hotels (or just ramdomly). If you look under "Review Important Information" in you offer will you see "This hotel charges an additional $50 per room per stay." So my guess is that this is a mathematical error in the PRICELINE check-out process. I would mail or give PRICELINE a call about this and let them explain. But I belive it's an error. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog. Link to comment

Hearmetoo
Thanks. I'll give them a call to check about a possible error. Yes, I do use the links. Also wondering how far/difficult it is to walk to/from trump to the strip? It looks inconvenient. Can anyone advise me. We've stayed at TI and palazzo previously, and like that area, but never trump. Thanks Link to comment
yellowdog
Below is posted by thereuareTWO TIPS for others who are booked at or considering this property:1) the hotel runs scheduled shuttle service to the strip, so while not 'on demand', you if yo can time it correctly you might be able to get away with no (or at least only one-way) cab fare2) it is walkable to the strip, but not a very nice/scenic walk... so you can cross the street from the hotel entrance and enter the Fashion Show mall where you can walk indoors (air conditioned which is very welcomed during the summer months) and be indoors and have a nice walk to the casinos/stripLet us know how we can help you further with your stay.Thanx for using boards PRICELINE and HOTWIRE linksYellowdog. thereuare
Walking from the Trump to the northern part of the strip is do-able... you can make it to the entrance of the Wynn in just under 10 minutes or so (or to Treasure Island a bit longer by walking thru the Fashion Show Mall which is air conditioned and protects you from the heat and any other elements). So it's certainly do-able, but not as convenient as staying directly on the strip and/or if you were looking to head to the Southern part of the strip (Bellagio, NYNY, MGM, Mandalay Bay, etc, etc)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Hearmetoo
Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help. Decided to bid for 4* north strip priceline for 9/28-9/30 and see if I can get a better deal than PRICELINE EXPRESS. We decided against Trump and 5* north isn't taking my bids in my price range like last year. So 4* north it'll have to be. TI is good. So we'll keep our fingers crossed for a good win. I'll post my win when I finally get it.Thanks again! :) Link to comment

Hearmetoo
Yea, won TI 9/28-9/30 for $93/night after trying various combos, Hotline, Express, 5* north (no luck, too expensive for what I wanted). And prices actually went down from the weekend. Persistence paid off. Thanks Betterbidding for you assistance. And yes, I used the PRICELINE links. Link to comment
