geronimo
As always, I used this site's PRICELINE link to start my bid.I won the Courtyard By Marriott Atlanta Midtown Georgia Tech for $70 per night. The cheapest price on the hotel's website is $111 per night. I was really hoping to win the Hotel Indigo or either one of the two Residence Inn's. I am not particularly happy about this hotel's location is it seems more isolated from the MARTA subway stations and other public transit on Peachtree Street NE/ NW. Oh well, I guess we'll see how it goes. I almost purchased a 4* downtown hotel on Hotwire for $65 per night, but was unsure which hotel it could be and was weary of certain areas downtown after reading comments on the internet. Nonetheless, I am still looking forward to my first Atlanta vacation.Yesterday I was unsuccessful with the following bidding strategy:• 3* Midtown Atlanta - $50• Added re-bid zone (Chamblee - Doraville) - $55• Added re-bid zone (Forest Park - Riverdale) - $60• Added re-bid zone (Jonesboro) - $65• Added re-bid zone (Morrow) - $68 > failed to winToday I was successful with the following bidding strategy:• 3* Midtown Atlanta - $55• Added re-bid zone (Chamblee - Doraville) - $60• Added re-bid zone (Forest Park - Riverdale) - $65• Added re-bid zone (Jonesboro) - $70 > won Link to comment
