Welcome to BetterBidding!

The Signature at MGM is one possibility... but so is the Elara and THEhotel at Mandalay Bay (and there could be others as well... so the Signature is far from a sure thing)

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.

I have booked hotels in Canada twice from PL and never had a problem with 4 people. I'm not sure about the hotels in LV. Will it be higher possibility to get into trouble(such as only one bed or additional charges)?

There is another 4 Star Hotel in Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South Area for $95/night

Free Internet in room

Indoor or Outdoor Pool

Free Parking

Business Center

Casino

Fitness Center

Any guess?

My budget for 4.5* - 5* is under $130. I'm also fine with any 4* hotels under $110, but I don't like Luxor. The deal for 4P at Hotwire is not ideal. Do you think I should bid?

Thanks!

I'd guess NYNY, Monte Carlo or the MGM.

HOTWIRE listings are going to be more when you search for four adults, as extra person fees are often figured in. They are not when you use PRICELINE, but it becomes a matter of the risk you will not get two beds. You may, you may not, it may cost more and it may even depend on who you're talking to. There's no way to know in advance.

I took the express deal and it is end up Elara, not signature MGM.:(

Not sure if I should call the hotel in advance or wait until the arrive date to use the $20 trick for 2 adults and 2 children.

Any thoughts?

Please post the details of your win as a separate thread (price, date/s, amenities) and we would be happy to offer our thoughts. Sorry that you're disappointed with the win - different date/s usually result in different rate/s and inventory.

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Elara might be good for the family. It's closer to the strip and connected to the miracle mile shops and planet hollywood and may not be as much a drunk fest that MGM is. I like the idea of walking out the lobby and directly into a mall that will lead directly to the strip. No walking outside or cutting through properties. I was/am also tossed between MGM Signature and Elara. I have a reservation booked with Elara at 109 a night for a suite. I have been eyeing prices for my visit Oct 6-10 for a better deal, but I am happy with what I have.
