pepcmac
Started at $141 went up by $11 3x then picked $188 and it was the magic number. It looks like this hotel is also coming up on Hotwire but it was $222 so I'm happy with the deal for a Summer's Saturday night at a very nice hotel. Link to comment

thereuare
konoplya,Rates are date specific, and while hotel rates have generally increased over the last few years, the dates above could have been particularly strong in terms of demand due to a conference or other event taking place in the area... just like rates for your dates 3 years ago could have been a very slow time in the area and therefore rates substantially cheaper. You can't make a 'blanket statement' that rates are higher by comparing one set of current dates to what you won a room for several years ago. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Seneschal
Yep, I have noticed also that the market is a lot tighter this year than in all the previous years. It is almost impossible to get decent rooms in LA, OC, or SD under $100 now during the weekend :-( Link to comment

Seneschal
No, unfortunately I have not had any success with them since that time. Tried a few times and have had no luck in San Diego or the beach areas at all. Link to comment
