The 4* Strip South would be a possible match for the Luxor.

You can also find the list of HOTWIRE properties reported to the board in Vegas here: Hotwire Hotel List Nevada, including the amenities that have been reported to the board with each.

Does the 3* property also have a RESORT amenity listed? If so, best guess here would be the Riviera.

My guess for the 3.5* property would be the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites on the Las Vegas Strip.

What exactly is it that you're looking for with this trip? What is your maximum budget per nite?

Assuming you are fine with the likely outcomes of The Mirage or Treasure Island (this one the more likely of the two) would bid for a 4* hotel in the Strip North zone up to $140, if that is rejected, take the 4* Strip North PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $159/nite (using the discount link code in my signature brings the cost to $143/nite.

At current rates this would be my game plan... your thoughts?

We need two queens?

It could be...

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to accept HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search, so by searching for 2adults/2children you should ensure separate sleeping accommodations for you and your friend, but the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc.

Also note that most Las Vegas hotels now charge more for rooms with 2 beds vs. 1 bed (or any occupancy over two) so your odds of a 'free upgrade' to a room with two beds are lower vs. most other places where rooms with one bed/two beds cost the same.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

The Stratosphere is a far cry from the Treasure Island or the Mirage and the location is not really what people think of when they think of 'the strip'.

Neither would be my first choice in Vegas, but I would sooner take the Trump than the Stratosphere... at least from the Trump you can walk to other places, at the Stratosphere you're really isolated, especially at nite i wouldn't walk around the area (unless it's changed over the last few years)

Skip the Stratosphere for sure,

another option

Book Sun/Mon at the 4* North $93(Mirage?) & see if they let you add Sat

if not, spend the Saturday night at the 2* NEAR South of strip(100% approval) for $83(includes breakfast) and be at your 4* pool by noon. If your 2* is the Baymont Inn? you are close to the strip
