bigwayne
Tried bidding lower on the name your price and it would not take it. Had to use the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal feature. HOTWIRE price for similar hotel/area was running at $51. Was a 5% summer coupon promotion. Including taxes, total price for 2 nights is $112.54 Link to comment

bigwayne
I do not recall the details. I just got back from this trip.Learned from this one to check the details of what PRICELINE tells you. When I booked it, I didn't notice that I wasn't given a choiceon smoking or not. Going back after the fact I see they have a disclaimer that you have to contact the hotel directly for this issue.I did get a king bed as I wanted, but got stuck with a smoking room. The smell wasn't too bad however. As to the Comfort Inn, it is currently going through renovations. The existing state of the unrenovated rooms is mixed. For example, in the room I had, the bed, TV, fridge, microwave, AC unit, bathroom sink, were all modern and good. The rug, exterior window, doors, bathroom floor, toilet, shower valve and head were all in need of repair or replacement. The drainage pan for the AC was broken so it drained on the carpet. Hotel's current solution is to just shop vac it up until that room gets renovated, likely in the fall after the summer season is over. Same for nonworking light fixtures. In 2014, this hotel is likely to be a very different property than it is right now. Link to comment
