kevin825
Trying to get a hotel for this Saturday the 13th for one night. Seen in the past that people got One King West which is fine and quite frankly anything else in Downtown Toronto for 4* is fine as long as we stay around $85. What's the best strategy? vanpoodle
For 4*, Toronto has lots of re-bid zones. That hotel is in downtown south, which seems to have quite a few more hotels available than downtown north. I'd say just start low and work the permutations and combinations and work your way higher slowly. It is possible to get about 50 bids squeezed out at one sitting with that method, it just means you need to keep closing the browswer and starting your bidding over again which can be tedious! thereuare
Based upon current rates my guess is that $85 will likely come up short for a 4* Downtown hotel for this nite, but if you want to give it a try, please confirm if you're only bidding Downtown South or if Downtown North is acceptable as well... we will then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. kevin825
Downtown south is only acceptable as we have plans to stay only in the downtown core and don't have time to mess around with the TTC. Please share the strategy. Thanks and I will use the links as suggested. Link to comment
vanpoodle
The 4* hotels for downtown north are in the Yonge and Bloor area if that's any help. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in Toronto you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Downtown South...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $93You can stop at whatever amount you'd like, but i'm guessing it will likely take at least this much, so i went a little higher than your 'around $85' maximum bid.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
