thereuare
Is there a FREE INTERNET amenity listed too?If so, my best guess for this one would be the Wyndham Blake Chicago. It would be appreciated if you used the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
jostty
There is free internet. I missed that. Like to think I can get something a little cheaper but that wouldn't be bad. Still have time. Bid upto $120 for a 4* witout success.I use the PRICELINE link most of the time. A little inconsistent with HOTWIRE.Thanks. Will keep you posted. Link to comment
AaronJB
Thank you for using the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and start each search. Are there more than 2 people in each room? You may be able to get something cheaper via PRICELINE or something similarly priced North of the river (are you looking to stay in the Loop?)Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. jostty
The Loop would be best but North would beok too. Prefer being close to a subway stationin the City/downtown. We have two people to a room. Thanks. Will update as things progress. Link to comment
thereuare
The Loop would be best but North would be ok too.Not really clear if you only want to bid the Loop or also include NMA in your bidding. If you'd like help with a bidding strategy let us know all zones that you're willing to accept, desired star rating, and maximum bid... we can then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jostty
We are ok with either zone. I check HOTWIRE daily but have been bidding with a limit of $120 on PRICELINE.3.5+ in either zone would be fine but I am afraid togo to 3.5 in the Loop. I have seen Club Quarters come upand it looks like they only have one bed rooms. I know thereis no guarantee anywhere but 2 beds are a strong preference..I've got the bidding zones down pretty well. It is earlybut you never know Link to comment
AaronJB
So have you been bidding 4* in the Loop to avoid 3.5*?There are properties in the city at all star levels where I'd say 1 bed is likely (the Palmer in the Loop and Allerton in NMA are the first couple that come to mind at the 4* level), but as you mention, 2 beds in general is not guaranteed when bidding.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. jostty
Still looking at the above dates for Chicagofor 3 rooms. The Downtown Millenium Grant Parkzone just listed a *3.5 for $107 a night.Amenities include:Free InternetSmoke freeFitness Restaurant Business CenterLaundry(self serve)High speed internet accessAccessible for blindAccessible for deafAccessible path of travelIn room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll in showerAny thoughts on what it might be. The pricein the area is the lowest I've seen for a *3.5.Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
The Silversmith Hotel Chicago would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. thereuare
Let us know what you decide... with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating this property gets excellent reviews. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. AaronJB
$107 is a good deal in general for these date/s. If the Silversmith, I'll suggest Flat Top Grill down the block - not the best ever, but a good value: it's a small regional chain where you can make your own stir fry, and if you pay for it, you can continue to go back again and again.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. jostty
I should have grabbed it. It looks like the same hotel went up to $192/nite. Thanks for thetip! Link to comment

jostty
Not sure if you want a new topic but I ended up taking a HOTWIRElisting for $146/nite. 4* 9/19-23 for 3 rooms. It ended up being the Hyatt Regency on East Wacker Street(Millenium/Downtown).The amenities that were listed were the same as listed on Betterbidding's list including Spa and Laundry. I have stayed there before but a little cheaperI was bidding on PRICELINE up to $140 for a *4(Loop and North)without success andwas getting a little nervous since I had no back-up.Used Betterbidding PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links as much as possible. It actually make thingseasier. Link to comment
