AaronJB
HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please try the following:use this link to search HOTWIREfrom the search results page click the offer for this hotelon the next page click BOOK NOW (no worries about purchasing by accident since no credit card information is entered up to this point)on the left side of the page click the 'See all amenities' link, then please provide the full list of amenities showing.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Senhati
I think I listed all the amenities. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'll also throw out another suggestion: the Raffaello is $164.09 via Expedia and coupon code EXP15B takes 15% off = $139. A bit more than the HOTWIRE listing, but free cancellation (although read the fine print) and great location. This would also be for a room w/2 beds. If this reservation can be cancelled, you can have this as a back-up and then cancel it and move to a HOTWIRE listing if prices do come down closer to your date/s.Please use the site's Expedia link if you decide to go this route. AaronJB
If you click each listing and then click "book now" on the detail page for the listing, do you see a 'see all' next to the amenities or "see more" - if you click that link, do you see any additional amenities beyond the ones noted above, such as additional accessible amenities?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. But possibly not hilton, Hilton is always listed with pool. So I think it is Hyatt Regency. And the second one seems Hotel Sax or Wyndham. More possibly wyndham due to pet friendly list. thereuare
Best guess for the Downtown-Millennium Park property would be the Hyatt Regency and for the River North property it would be the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
AaronJB
Both the Wyndham and Hyatt are within a couple of blocks of each other, although the Wyndham would be slightly closer to a CTA stop and a bit less of a walk to the restaurant-heavy River North area. I'd recommend the Wyndham and the savings between the two can go towards breakfast - there are a number of nice breakfast options nearby.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Senhati
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I booked Wyndham. The rate was a few dollars less than ($121) the price above. Thanks for all the help. Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. :)Very nice win for this Wyndham property. HOTWIRE reservations are for standard rooms, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if there's any way you could face the river. Worst they could say is no.There are a number of breakfast options within decent walking distance, some particularly close. The trio that come to mind would be Wildberry (newer and very popular - http://www.yelp.com/biz/wildberry-cafe-chicago), the Pittsfield Cafe (an old-school Chicago diner in the Pittsfield building - cash only http://www.yelp.com/biz/pittsfield-cafe-chicago) or the Rick Bayless casual offering Xoco (http://www.yelp.com/biz/xoco-chicago).If you are looking for a breakfast treat, somewhat further West (although not that terrible of a walk) is the Doughnut Vault (http://thedoughnutvault.tumblr.com/), but that is cash only and they sell until they run out. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
