Hi, I'm using hotwire to find a hotel close to Millenium Park. I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton in the past and I'd like to stay there again. But I'd be just as happy with the Hyatt Regency. So, here's what I found. Dates: 6/30-7/2. 2 nights, 2 rooms: 4 adults, 2 kids.

1st hotel Loop - Theater District:

$93

Pet Friendly

Indoor Pool

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurant

Business Center

High-Speed Internet

Spa

Accessible for the blind

Is this the Palmer House? It's the only 4* with pool, indoor pool and spa in the list, so I'm hoping this is it.

Downtown Chicago - Millenium Park - Grant Park area:

$87

Smoke Free

Fitness center

Restaurant

Business Center

Laundry Facility

High Speed internet

Spa

Accessible path of travel

In room accessibility

Is this the Hyatt Regency? There are 2 4* with Spa on the list, Hyatt Regency and Swissotel. I'm hoping it's Hyatt Regency.

What do you guys think?

Yep. That was all that was listed.

Turns out that the $93 offer was no longer available, so I went ahead and got the $87 Millenium - Grant Park one and it is the Hyatt Regency. So, I didn't get the Palmer House that I wanted, but this is still close to Millenium park, plus it faces the river now. I'm hoping we'll like it just as much if not more.

Thanks

To confirm, can you please check the amenities as they appear in the email sent of your confirmation AND as they appear when viewing this purchase thru the MY ACCOUNT link on the top right of the HOTWIRE home page.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the Palmer, but the Hyatt is in a terrific location right by the river. Hopefully you'll get a room with a view.

There are a number of breakfast options within decent walking distance, some particularly close. The trio that come to mind would be Wildberry (newer and very popular - http://www.yelp.com/biz/wildberry-cafe-chicago), the Pittsfield Cafe (an old-school Chicago diner in the Pittsfield building - cash only http://www.yelp.com/biz/pittsfield-cafe-chicago) or the Rick Bayless casual offering Xoco (http://www.yelp.com/biz/xoco-chicago), which is somewhat further away in the River North area. Wildberry is the closest of the bunch.

If you are looking for a breakfast treat, more of a trek NW in the River North area is the Doughnut Vault (http://thedoughnutvault.tumblr.com/), but that is cash only and they sell until they run out.

Enjoy your stay.

I think that would be it. What's showing in my hotwire account now, has 3 extra amenities: wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom and roll-in shower. There is nothing on my confirmation email.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the Hyatt location. My wife really wanted the Palmer because she loved one of the places we went for breakfast, so your tips are great!
