izmeeh
I'll be arriving at the Seattle Amtrak Station at 10:30 PM on 7/1/13. My car would be about 20 minutes away at 22nd Ave SW. I have a few options and need opinions. I can spend a night in Seattle in a hotel or in the car. I can leave Seattle and find a lower cost, decent hotel on the way to San Jose, California. 1) Will I be able to find a 2* and above hotel below $50/night in the Seattle area or that's just not going to happen?2) Within an hour or so from Seattle, is there an area that is close to the freeway that people generally get winning bids below $50? Thanks. Link to comment

izmeeh
Used the links to search.2* below $50 is possible, but some of the reviews aren't very positive. With priceline bidding, do you think I can get a 3* under $50? Hotwire has a 2* hotel in the Auburn - Federal Way area for $42 with 75% recommended rate. 2-star Hotel in Auburn - Federal WayThis Hotel features the following amenities:Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Restaurant(s) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility What do you think? yellowdog
Hotwire has a 2* hotel in the Auburn - Federal Way area for $42I think there may be more amenities associated with this property. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click this offer to get to the details page, then on the details page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above?I think that under $50 for a 3* would be a difficult win with the current rates. But please try, it's free and fun ;) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog. Link to comment

izmeeh
Thanks, thereuare. Going to that hotel will take us on a different route so that won't work. I guess I'll bring a tent on this trip. Link to comment

Romelle
The SEA airport is about 15 miles south of Seattle, just off I-5. While it depends on the date, bids for airport hotels can work for $50. There can be a charge for parking, so you will want to consider that. With Hotwire, you might be able to select for free parking.Romelle Link to comment
