May or may not be relevant, I booked a hotwire hotel in Québec City in the Fall of 2011 (Oct 22-25) and found a hotel similar to what you describe. (I apologize for not having the recommendation %):

Its a fantastic hotel, especially if you're looking for location its very close to everything. Hope this information helps and best of luck!
