Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could help ID this 4* Monterey, CA hotel from 5/23-5/25. Here is the amenity list for the hotel:

4-star Hotel in Monterey

This Hotel features the following amenities:

Fitness Center

Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.

Pool(s)

Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.

Restaurant(s)

Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.

Business Center

Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply.

High-Speed Internet Access

Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.

Golf Nearby

Property is located within walking distance or a short drive of at least one golf course; an extra charge typically applies.

At first I thought it was the Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort and Spa, since the amenities match the ones in the Hotel List, however, the same Hyatt Regency is listed on Hotwire's page for $179. So I also have the question--can an opaque hotel deal be offered both as a hot Deal and for the regular price?

Thanks for your reply. The hotel has disappeared from both the opaque side and the listed site. It is even sold out on the hotel's website, so it may have been that hotel. I am now eyeing a livingsocial escape for my hotel since prices seem to be high for this travel period to the Monterey area. But thanks for your help!

Posting a retroactive win and hoping that my memory serves me correctly regarding the hotel zone. I had originally booked another hotel (not through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE) but didn't like the room. After one uncomfortable night, decided to check out early and once the front desk agreed to refund the remaining two nights, I sat in their lobby and booked this hotel through PRICELINE. Started at $100 and increased by $10 until accepted bid of $130. It was easy to add rebidding zones as the majority of hotels in the Monterey/Carmel area are in the 3 star category. I believe that the same hotel was an opaque deal for $137/night so I wasn't able to force PRICELINE's hand that much. Retail was $199/ night and there is/was another deal for $159/ night so I was pleased with the overall price. Moreover, it was a great hotel, wonderful customer service and I had a bay facing view. Would highly recommend this hotel.
