t1234
Hi,I was wondering if I could bid for a hotel in Mineral Point, WI? When I tried looking up the hotel list, I only saw Madison hotels. Mineral Point is about 45 minutes west of Madison. It is near Dodgeville. I just don't want to bid and then find myself in Madison. Thanks in advance for your assistance! Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding :) PRICELINE does not have any bidding for Mineral Point. I think Dodgeville or Darlington would be your best option if bidding close to Mineral Point. But HOTWIRE got hotels in Mineral Point. Please post your date(s) for the stay and we'll be happy to take a look at this. Please use the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchases and searchesYellowdog. t1234
Thank you for your reply. It is for this Saturday the 25th; one night only; 2 queen beds. Maybe I will look into checking out Dodgeville instead. Link to comment
AaronJB
PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy. You can request two beds from the hotel, but they may say no or charge an upgrade fee. They may also say yes (and you may have an easier time in a smaller town than in NYC, for example), but there are no guarantees. If you are a party of more than two, you can enter in the amount of people on HOTWIRE and that should result in bedding (2 or 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofa) for the entire party.Unfortunately, given the size of Mineral Point and that there are few hotels in the city, it looks like deals are slim at best - HOTWIRE has a 2* for $102; the Quality Inn Mineral Point is showing on Expedia for $105. Unfortunately, Madison is too far - comparable hotels in Madison are available for $42-55.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE Expedia or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Romelle
You might try MAPS and HOTELS.com under the Tools menu above. It lets you search using different distances around a town. The results are from PRICELINE retail and Hotels.com. You can see the results on a map, so you can consider how far you might be willing to drive for a better deal. If you use a larger radius, you might have to zoom the map out to show the more distant offers.Romelle Link to comment
