Hi, there.

Hoping for a 4-star in the following areas August 14-17, ideally 100-120 tops. I can get Westin Waterfront confirmed for $210 on Starwood's website:

Beacon Hill

Boston Commons

Copley

Harbor

Quincy

Waterfront

I don't know Boston that well (just want something safe and near public transport to get to airport and around on the T) so maybe I need to rule out one/more of these zones.

Thanks!

Please provide a follow-up for your prior Los Angeles Priceline thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay), then reply to this thread and we'll be happy to look into the above. Please follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc.

The Waterfront zone is do-able for the right price, but is not as convenient as the other zones... the waterfront zone (near the Westin, btw) is serviced by the Silver line which will take you to/from the airport as well as into the center of the city, but from there you may need to transfer to get to where you want to go. Should we include this zone in your bidding or not?

Whether you decide to include this zone or not, current rates suggest that your budget may not be enough for a 4* hotel and is more likely in the range for a 3.5* property.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

Also, do note from our Support Page that we are an affiliate of the Westin as well as most other major hotel chains and online booking agencies, please check for and use the links therefore your hotel direct purchases whenever possible.

Click here for the Freedom Trail. This was great fun for two 13-year-old boys, their dad (my son) and me. We discovered the boys could safely charge along ahead of us without getting lost. It links one to pretty much all the major tourist sites in Boston.

We also enjoyed one of those hop-on-hop-off tours. We did learn there are several different ones with slightly different routes, so do a little checking first if you like this idea.

I guess I would therefore rule-out the Waterfront area.

Tonight I tried 4-star Beacon, Quincy, Boston Commons, and Copley between 90-110 with no luck.

I found the Westin Waterfront at advance purchase of 209.

But you're no long bidding the Waterfront area where the Westin is located, so that is not an apples-to-apples comparison... what is the best rate you're able to find in the zones that you're bidding?
