Hello, I am planning to visit New York City and need a hotel for 4 people (1 couple and two individuals) so I'm hoping to bid for two queen size beds. Ideally I would like to find a 3.5* hotel at $134. Do you think I will be successful in finding a room for 4 people? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

To get you started.

PRICELINE isn't the best route for this stay since your party is four guests. PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means you may receive a room with only one bed and the hotel could assign you a room with only one bed. You could request a room with two beds, but the hotel could be unable, or unwilling, to accommodate your request... or charge an additional fee if they are willing to accommodate you request. And NYC is "famous" for small rooms

A better option for you and your party would be HOTWIRE since HOTWIRE guarantees sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search... this often means two beds in the room (maybe not NYC), but the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc.

Prices for May is on the higher side and is a popular time for NYC. And I'm pretty sure that your budget don't cut it for a 3.5* if you're looking for the central/tourist zones in NYC.

Let us know your preferred zones and your thoughts arround this and we'll go from there.
