ptel
I'm looking to bid Vegas on PRICELINE, but I'm not seeing a Strip South Zone. I only see Strip Vicinity South which looks like it encompasses Strip South. Have they changed the zones or am I missing something? I'm just concerned about the possibility of off-strip properties appearing in this zone. Maybe the hotel list needs to be updated to reflect this name change. Thanks,Tony Link to comment
Romelle
On Priceline, if you select the Detail Map for Strip Vicinity South and zoom clear in, you can see the hotel names and their footprints. The zone is long and narrow, and the hotels along the strip are so large there hasn't been room for an off-strip property to sneak in. Of course anything is possible (very tall, small footprint property?), but it doesn't appear to be an issue now.Romelle Link to comment

ptel
Used the PRICELINE links from this site to book a hotel for my bro in Vegas. Won this at 5pm on day of check-in. Tried earlier in the day with no luck. A PRICELINE EXPRESS deal showed up for $93 so I under cut that a bit with my bid. I had already used up all of my 4* rebid zones earlier in the day so I used Strip Vicinity North which is only Trump to get one last bid. He would have been fine with Trump at that price, but happier with Mandalay Bay. $25 resort fee but still a good deal for this property on a very pricey weekend. Link to comment

gilboman
wow..so mandalay bay is now considered a 5* and same zone as Cosmo/Aria/Vdara? that makes it interesting and people need to think twice before bidding if they would be unhappy with as far south as mandalay bay!! Link to comment
yellowdog
gilbomanNo, it's currently rated 4* by PRICELINEThanx for the heads-up.
