kevin825
I'm looking to book a room from March 29 - March 31. I know that you can get the Sheraton Station Hotel for $68 using the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals. We would prefer to stay at the Wyndham Grand or the DoubleTree and was wondering if we should go the bidding route instead and what we should start at and how to add the free re-bidding zones. If we get stuck with the Sheraton going the bidding route, that will be okay, but ideally we'd like the other two hotels. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Also, note that a 4* hotel may only be another $10-$20 more than a 3.5*, so if it's worth the extra money to avoid the Sheraton, and you like the 4 star properties, that is option to avoid the hotel you don't want.So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher then you're willing to pay, let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click each of these links before replying.Thanks. kevin825
After trying to get the Westin due to location and amenities, we got the Omni William Hotel. Not ideal, but it seems to be very highly rated. At $65/night, can't complain too much. The amenities shown were:RestaurantFitness CenterBusiness Center Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! While not the hotel you were hoping for, this looks to be a very nice rate for a 4* Downtown hotel, hope you can make it work just as well for your needs.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Can you please add a reply to this thread with the date(s) of your stay so we can add this information to the topic title and enable your win to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
Thanks for the follow-up.Not sure if this is still the case, but if you're driving, this property used to park guest's vehicles in the lot across the street from the hotel. The hotel charged the same rate regardless of the day of the week, but the lot itself charged a substantially lower rate on weekend... no in/out privileges like you would get when parking thru the hotel, but if you don't need your vehicle during the stay, it's likely much cheaper to park the car yourself and leave it for the weekend.Enjoy your stay.
