lfras
Bid regularly for a week for either a resort or 4* hotel in Wailea/Makena area of South Maui. Stopped bidding at resort when unsuccessful at $215/nt. Finally got accepted at $185/nt. for two rooms at Makena Golf Resort (formerly the Maui Prince Hotel). Have stayed there many times before. It's on a great beach, and even though it's a little older than the Wailea resorts, it's very clean and quiet with good service, and better, cheaper parking and resort fees. It appears that Maui tourism is really ramping up again, and the days of $100/nt. successful bids at the Marriott are a thing of the past. Condo rates are going up, too, in the Kihei area. So are airfares. Aloha. Link to comment
