traveling247
Hi all! I have already bid $223 through your PRICELINE links for a 4* hotel in Times Square district but was rejected. Can anyone help me with a bidding strategy? I would prefer to stay in Times Square and I don't really have a budget. Just want something cheap! Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet please start by reading your messages.I would prefer to stay in Times Square... Just want something cheap!I'd suggesting seeing our thoughts on Hotels Near Times Square as you really don't need to stay directly in this zone. if you're looking for the best deal/value you need to get outside of the most touristy area of the city and stay in an adjacent zone, many of which are still quite walkable to Times Square (where i also think you will be spending far less time then you likely think).Rates for these dates are not that cheap but if you're willing to stay in the surrounding area (see the zones for MTE, MTW, TS, CPS and/or ESB) i think you can likely get a 4* hotel for less then you have already bid... if you're stuck on only considering Times Square i think you're likely looking at about the $250-$265 range.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and click each of these previous links before replying.Thanks. BrahmaBull
I used a similar priceline bidding strategy for the Roosevelt, for the following weekend. I did add other re-bid zones WITH 4* hotels because I was flexible with areas.Paid $155. Rapid transit and walking to the Time Square area never takes that much time from any of the areas in midtown.MTEMTWESBCPS Link to comment
