babymixemup
I'm so nervous but finally ready to finalize our hotel plans for our Florida vacation. We'll be in Orlando (preferably Disney LBV or Maingate) from March 24 to the 28th, and then in Tampa for another 2 nights. A 3* in Orlando would work but I'd really like to try for a 3.5*, ideally spending less than $100/night with all of the parking and resort fees. I would be overjoyed if I got Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista.I've read the Re-bidding strategy and I understand how it works, but I was hoping someone could take a look at mine to make sure I haven't missed something important. (I snagged this from someone else's post) Should I choose LBV and Maingate at the start? Or just LBV and then Maingate? Should my starting bid be higher?Select 3.5* LBV...Bid $33, if rejected add re-bid zone 1...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone 5...Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone 7...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone 9...Bid $43, if rejected add re-bid zone 14...Bid $45, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINEThanks so much! use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches Link to comment
babymixemup
After trying a few different strategies for a 3.5* for LBV, Maingate, and SeaWorld i-Drive up to $70, I decided to go with Hotwire for a 3* that I could guarantee a Free breakfast. $71/nt @ Orlando (Sea World - I-Drive South)There was another 3* for $64 at Disney Maingate, but based on the amenities I was super worried that it would be Baymont Suites (which had a very unimpressive website and less than stellar reviews from tripadvisor). The hotel turned out to be Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention CenterAmenities:Free Parking Free Breakfast Smoke Free RoomsFitness Center Pool(s) Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessHotelRate per night: $71.00Nights: 4Rooms: 1Tax recovery charges & fees: $47.78Subtotal: $331.78Trip total: $331.78After checking out the website and reviews, I'm SO PLEASED with my choice!
