I've been bidding for the Irvine Spectrum for the past 2 days - starting at $55 3-star for 2/25 - 2/27/13 stay....no win, added San Clemente, didn't win. Tried again with $60...no luck. Tried at $65 and got The Hills Hotel in Laguna Beach.

We just returned from our stay at The Hills Hotel in Laguna Hills. We had a great stay. This is a "grand" hotel, with a huge entryway with lots of twinkling lights and crystal chandeliers. This hotel is often used for weddings. The rooms were clean and spacious, and had most of the expected amenities. I was disappointed that they did not have a refrigerator or microwave...these were an additional $10 each (which we decided not to do).

This hotel is definitely freeway close - unfortunately, there is some freeway noise in the rooms.

They are rennovating the rooms - although ours was only partially done. The bathrooms still had some "older" styling.

Overall - a great place to stay at this price. There's a Starbuck's right across the street, and fast food places and gas stations.
