Hotwire Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North) Trump Tower International

I see a 5 star on the stip north area hotel for $93.00. It has a kitchenette so I think that might be Trump International. Do you think that is correct? I've been bidding on priceline for Strip North and South, up to $85.00. Is hotwire better than priceline?

Thanks for your help .

What is the full list of amenities associated with this property?

On HOTWIRE the Trump is in the Strip North zone, but on PRICELINE it is in the Strip Vicinity North zone... so if you've only bidding 'Strip North' on PRICELINE then you haven't had the Trump as an option for your PRICELINE bids.

Is the Trump an acceptable property for you for this stay? What are your dates of travel?

Spa Services, resort, free parking, smoke free rooms, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, kitchenette. I thought the kitchenette would be the clue. I only saw kitchenette on Trump on the hotwire hotel list.

Sorry I don't understand the above statement, You say on hotwire trump is in strip north zone, and then on hotwire is it in north zone.

I have the mirage (4 star hotel) booked through their player club for $133.00 a night. I was trying to stay somewhere different at a 5 star hotel. I am up to $92.00 for a 5 star on priceline bidding for strip north, strip south then increasing price by $1 for near strip east and near stip west since they have no 5 star hotels but haven't gotten a room. I'm curious to know what the hotwire strip north hotel would be. I was trying to stay at strip north at Venetian or wynn, on strip south at aria, bellagio but really am not picky as long as it is a 5 star for the right price.

What are your dates of travel? 2/21-2/24/13.

Thanks for your help.

I've edited the typo above, let us know if it makes more sense now.

When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones... are you only using 2-3 of them? What is your maximum bid for a 5* hotel for this trip that will make it the 'right price'? Are you bidding both Strip North and Strip South OR only the Strip North zone?

I know we are on the HOTWIRE link but we're talking about priceline right? I only noticed that there was no 5 star in near strip west and near strip east, didn't look anywhere else because if I was wrong I could stay there. Keeping with only 5* because I have a 4* already that is a known quantity. The theory with a rebid is to increase your bid each time you put a new zone on right? What kind of increments would you suggest?

I am bidding Strip North, Strip South and near strip west, near strip east. I will probably take the 5 star on hotwire at 93 if still there today otherwise on priceline I would go up to the cost of my 4 start whichi is $108. When viewing the amenities Trump was the only one I saw that listed a kitchentte. Do you think that is correct for priceline?

Yes, we're talking about PRICELINE. It doesn't sound like you're using the recommended method (and the only method that should be used) to determine your re-bid zones. See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you have in this regard.

If the Trump is an acceptable outcome why are you not including Strip Vicinity North in your bidding?

Yes it's been awhile. I just reread the rebid process. I have time so wasn't too worried about the rebids. I am very familiar with Vegas but wasn't too sure of the different ones other than strip north and stip south. I may just go for the 5 star hotwire. I'll let you know what I get!

Winning bid 5* Trump Hotel $93.00 Reviews are good, non-smoking I believe,no casino on site. It will be interesting to compare a 5 star to a 4 star. I'll try the $20 upgrade trick...

I stayed at Trump a few years ago - paid more than $93. Resort fee back then was $15.

It's a nice hotel, rooms are fairly large, we didn't use the kitchenette or the pool. It doesn't have a real Vegas "feel." It's not far from the strip, and if you like to shop, it is literally across the street from Fashion Show Mall. I would say that compared to other places I've stayed, I liked the room better than Aria, although Aria had much more "Vegas Vibe." But I liked TheHotel and Venetian better. If you don't need a casino and entertainment though, you won't be disappointed at all at that price.
